I went to have the oil changed , tire rotation, and inspection sticker. I was told i needed rear brake pads and was charged nearly $200.00 more then I paid another shop one year ago that changed my front pads. I was also charged $50 for a two minute bulb replacement and another $50 for fog light bulb replacement plus the cost of the bulb. Which I know is a 2 minute job because I ask the auto store to change it for me and they don't charge!!! This place will never see me again!! I believe the they saw an older woman that it would be fine to take advantage. I will make sure I tell as many women as possible not to go there!
Hi Donna, This is Jason. I am the Owner of Advanced Auto. I'd like to see if I can help. First....Thank you for giving us a shot and for placing your Trust in us! Secondly...I apologize that we did not succeed in our Goal of providing you with an Exceptional Customer Experience. I can promise you that nobody on my Team would have intentionally "take advantage" of you. However, we are human and we do make mistakes. (Note: I think if you read through our hundreds of 5 Star Reviews, you'll see that we're an Honest Business and we always stand behind our work and we'll bend over backwards to correct any mistakes that we do make.) From what I can tell from your Review, it appears that you were Happy with Our Service and the Quality of our Work but you have some concerns about our Pricing. I have reviewed the Invoice from your recent visit to our shop to see if there were any errors in our pricing... In your Review, you mentioned that we replaced the Rear Brake Pads, but our records show that we replaced the Front Brake Pads AND Rotors. Replacing ONLY the Brake Pads would be significantly less than replacing the Pads AND Rotors. Also, keep in mind that the price of pretty much everything in life has increased significantly over the last year....and Auto Repair Services have also increased in price. With that in mind, the price you paid for the Front Brake Repairs is in line with the Local Market and is what we regularly charge to any customer with a vehicle similar to yours. I also reviewed the Labor Charges for the Headlight Bulb and the Fog Light Bulb. According to our Labor Guide (Alldata), it lists a Labor Time of .40 Hours (24 Minutes) for each Bulb and based on our Current Labor Rate of $125.17/Hour, the $50 in Labor appears to be accurate. The procedure in the Labor Guide shows that multiple parts (splash shields, air intake tube, etc.) need to be removed to access the Bulbs. They don't appear to be the "2 minute jobs" that an Auto Parts Store would normally be able to replace in the parking lot. With that said, I don't have your car in front of me to be able to verify exactly what is involved to replace those bulbs, but I am more than willing to dig deeper on this and if we made an error, I will definitely refund you any amount that we over-charged. I'd love the opportunity to review the whole Invoice with you line by line so I can answer any questions you may have. If you're willing to have a conversation, please call the shop at 508-278-6615 and ask to speak with me. I'll let my Team know to send your call to me directly. I look forward to hearing from you...and hopefully getting the chance to meet you in person! Sincerely, Jason Malo
